Karena Evans Wins Best Director at iHeartRadio MMVAs
Toronto native director won Director of The Year at the 2018 iHeartRadio MMVAs for her work on Drake鈥檚
Evans was nominated twice in the category, the other nomination being for her video for Drake鈥檚
She received additional nods for Video of The Year and Fan Fave Video. The win comes in a year where the 22-year old has rapidly become one of the world鈥檚 most sought after directors in the entertainment industry. In addition to 鈥淕od鈥檚 Plan鈥 and 鈥淣ice For What,鈥 the Evans collaborated with Drake on his videos for and the viral #1 hit
All four videos were produced by Director X and Taj Critchlow's Toronto-based production company Earlier this year she was also the recipient of the prestigious which is presented to a Canadian music video artist for their innovative and unique approach to music video art.
