Thanasis Tsimpinis, the writer and director of the film, is not the Oracle of Delphi, of course, but a creator highly attuned to people's feelings and fears. In his own words - love story in essence, 'Escaping The Fragile Planet' is a 鈥渕etaphor for something bigger, living in the moment as an act of courage鈥.
The characters are seen wandering an empty city during 鈥榣ockdown鈥 wearing masks. In reality, the film was shot mid July 2019 way ahead of lockdown. Written in early 2017, it was selected for finding by the Greek Film Centre in 2018 and produced by .
