Full Punch crafts the new identity for the one-of-a-kind Alberta clinic

Patients looking for an alternative to traditional mental health treatment have an exciting new choice thanks to Reunion, an Edmonton-based treatment centre that specialises in psychedelic-assisted therapy.

This form of treatment dates back thousands of years, with an abundance of research highlighting the profound benefits of psychedelic-assisted therapy. 鈥淧sychedelics like ketamine, psilocybin and MDMA have been proven to successfully treat extreme cases of depression, anxiety, addiction and PTSD by opening patients up, dissolving the ego and developing new neural pathways in the brain,鈥 says Heidi Edgar, registered psychologist and owner, Reunion.

With a proven pedigree in healthcare and wellness, Edmonton and Vancouver-based creative agency Full Punch was tasked with developing Reunion's new brand identity, including brand strategy, naming and visual identity. 鈥淐hoosing an agency that understands the delicate balance between healthcare and psychedelics was of the utmost importance,鈥 explains Heidi.

鈥淚t isn鈥檛 often that an entirely new industry emerges, especially one that can profoundly impact people鈥檚 lives for the better,鈥 says Full Punch founding partner and chief creative officer Chris Zawada. 鈥淲e wanted to respect and pay homage to the roots of this medicine while avoiding the counter-cultural tropes typically associated with psychedelics.鈥

Reunion鈥檚 new brand identity system blends science and spirituality, honouring psychedelic design through organic typography and abstract imagery. The tone evokes trust and calm, essential for patients seeking support in their journey. Soft, meditative colours and soothing visuals create a sense of safety and stability, while the design reflects the transformative nature of psychedelic experiences.

鈥淲e realise that we have a long road ahead in normalising psychedelic therapy and creating acceptance in our society. Our new brand is at the foundation of this journey,鈥 said Heidi Edgar.
