I am Samuele Poggi (@Visualsk2), an AI/VFX artist, photographer, and video editor with over 360,000 followers on Instagram and more than 100 million global views. Throughout my journey, I have collaborated with international brands, music artists, and creative productions, constantly pushing the boundaries of visual innovation.
My passion for digital art began in 2009, and after years of dedication, study, and experimentation, it became my profession. Artificial intelligence has revolutionised my approach to visual creation, allowing me to redefine my style and take it to new expressive frontiers.
I believe that AI is not just a tool but an extension of human creativity 鈥 a way to bring to life visions that were impossible just a few years ago. I am always seeking new challenges and opportunities to show the world what my art can offer.
SK2> One of the music videos that marked my childhood was '' by Katy Perry ft. Kanye West. Not only is the song powerful and hypnotic, but for its time, the video was a visual masterpiece.
The use of VFX and 3D was cutting-edge, featuring surreal space settings, fluid transformations, and a cinematic aesthetic that felt like a sci-fi film. I vividly remember being fascinated by every visual detail, and 13 years ago, I was already trying to recreate 3D space scenes inspired by that video.
It was one of the first moments when I realised the power of post-production and visual effects in creating alternate worlds, and it is undoubtedly a video that influenced my creative journey.
SK2> It might sound unusual, but the video game Call of Duty pushed me into the world of video editing and VFX. As a kid, I was fascinated by the videos created by , and I wanted to learn how to recreate those spectacular cinematics.
I started editing my first videos using Sony Vegas, perfecting every detail to get closer to the style of the content creators I admired. The ability to create cinematics within the game allowed me to explore visual composition, editing rhythm, and special effects, laying the foundation for what would become my career.
Call of Duty wasn鈥檛 just a game for me鈥攊t was the first tool that allowed me to express myself through video. That was when I realised I wanted to turn this passion into something bigger.
SK2> Without a doubt, the Harry Potter saga. Besides considering it the greatest film series ever made, I keep coming back to it because the visual effects are incredible, even from the first movie.
Every time I rewatch it, I ask myself how they managed to create such a visual masterpiece with the technology of that era. Unlike many other films from that time, the Harry Potter VFX never seem to age, maintaining a level of quality that still amazes me today.
It is the perfect example of how VFX and storytelling can merge to create a timeless cinematic experience, and it remains a constant source of inspiration in my work.
SK2> My first real professional project was in collaboration with BRTHR.
Working on a project for Marc Jacobs was a unique experience that allowed me to collaborate with a top-tier creative team. BRTHR was a duo I had followed for eight years and who had been a huge source of inspiration for me. Working with them was a dream come true, a pivotal moment in my career.
SK2> Luckily, I haven鈥檛 had a project like that yet. I have always managed to work on content that meets my creative standards, adapting to client requests without compromising the quality of the final result.
SK2> A project that deeply impressed me and that I admire greatly is featuring Dennis Rodman and Travis Scott, directed by Gibson Hazard.
Beyond the incredible VFX, the AI integration is flawless, seamlessly amplifying the visual and narrative impact.
SK2> The project that marked a turning point in my career was my video series which generated millions of views and opened doors to major collaborations.
SK2> The work I鈥檓 most proud of is the music video for Elley Duh茅 鈥 鈥溾 which I created entirely with AI in just 48 hours.
It was an intense project, driven by my desire to experiment and push the boundaries of AI in a music video context. I primarily used AI-generated visuals, blending them with some 3D elements to enhance the scene and add depth. Despite the tight deadline, the final result exceeded my expectations and demonstrated how powerful AI can be as a tool for visual creativity.
This video also competed in the second edition of Project Odyssey, one of the most prestigious AI tournaments, where I placed 2nd out of 13,000 participants. This experience reinforced my belief in AI鈥檚 potential to revolutionise video production.
SK2> I don鈥檛 have any projects that make me cringe. On the contrary, looking back at my work fills me with emotion. Every project represents a step forward in my journey, and I genuinely enjoy rewatching them because they reflect my evolution, progress, and passion.
SK2> The most exciting recent project I鈥檝e worked on was the launch of Adobe Firefly Video 2025.
I have been using Adobe software since I was a kid, so not only collaborating with them but also bringing my video style to help launch a new tool was an indescribable honour.
