Radio ÌìÃÀÆåÅÆ: Lance Gurisik Shares The Music That Inspired His Albums
This playlist is a collection of tracks that heavily influenced the creation of my latest albums, 'Cull Portal' and 'Proffer' — whether directly or through the musical movements these pieces represent.
The music is drawn from the ’70s to the present, covering genres from modal jazz and kraut-rock to modern classical and electronic music. Although it spans nearly 60 years, I believe it offers a cohesive journey that listeners can enjoy and find parallels to within my two records.
Both albums were written during the Covid lockdowns in Sydney and reflect the most mature work I’ve done to date. Lockdown became a time of deep reflection, and the music I created was very much a response to the experience of confinement and uncertainty.
