Renowned edit house PS260 announces the addition of rostered editor Matt Posey as a partner. As part of PS260鈥檚 leadership team, Matt will work closely with executive producers at each of PS260鈥檚 outposts: Laura Lamb Patterson in New York City, Zeke Bowman in Boston, and Ran谩 Martin in Los Angeles. Together with managing partner Zarina Mak and partners JJ Lask and Maury Loeb, Matt will play an integral role in artistically guiding PS260鈥檚 editors and charting the course for PS260鈥檚 future endeavours.
As a rostered editor at PS260 since 2016, Matt鈥檚 visual style is marked by fast-paced, energetic cuts. His editing portfolio includes global spots for brands including Apple, New Balance, M&M鈥檚, Staples, JetBlue, Skinny Pop, YouTube, Audible, Crayola, Peloton, Google, Etsy, and Three Olives. He also edited the award-winning documentary film 鈥淲ho is Sabato De Sarno? A Gucci Story,鈥 directed by Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost, which garnered accolades at The One Show, D&AD, and won AICP鈥檚 prestigious Best Of Show award.
Matt edited music videos for the entirety of Metallica鈥檚 72 Seasons album as well as their song 'Lux 脝terna,' which was nominated for an MTV VMA. Other artists who鈥檝e tapped Matt Posey to cut their music videos include Phantogram, Run the Jewels, Big Sean, Squarepusher, Julien Baker, and the innovative VR campaign for Depeche Mode鈥檚 2017 'Spirit' world tour, which comprised multiple VR music videos and on-stage live visuals. Additionally, Matt edited the documentary 'Illustrated Man,' the feature film 'We鈥檝e Forgotten More Than We Ever Knew,' and the indie pilot 'Who鈥檚 Annie?'
鈥淚 feel honoured to join the leadership team at PS260,鈥 remarks Matt Posey. 鈥淭his has been my artistic home for many years now, and it鈥檚 the site of much of my growth as an editor. I鈥檓 excited to help steer the ship, so to speak, and work alongside our executive producers and other partners to execute and collaborate on a grand vision for PS260.鈥
JJ Lask, partner and co-founder of PS260, adds, 鈥淢att is an invaluable and insightful post-production artist. So much of my favourite work PS260 edited in recent years has been Matt鈥檚 films. He鈥檚 always down to mentor his fellow roster-mates and was already guiding them in many ways before formally becoming a partner - this formalises a lot of what we already know to be true: Matt is part of what makes PS260 great, and we鈥檙e thrilled to have him as a leader.鈥
