MOCEAN announces the formation of +MODE today, their new design and branding studio, to further service their growing roster of brand clients with enhanced capabilities. +MODE promises to bring MOCEAN鈥檚 35-year legacy of strategic and creative thinking to visual storytelling to connect consumers with brands on any medium.
To lead the new practice, MOCEAN has hired Kevin Lau as executive creative director and Allyson Nevil as executive producer.
Kevin Lau boasts over 20 years of experience in advertising and design and dozens of awards winning campaigns, including a Gold Cannes Lion. He was an original member of Superfad, a genre-bending design and live action production company. After six years at Superfad he went on to serve as creative director for some of the industry's most well-respected production companies, including Brand New School, Motion Theory and Mirada. In 2013 Lau co-founded Timber, an award winning design and production company. In 2020 he joined Digital Domain as their Executive Creative Director before moving to MOCEAN to found +MODE. His creative brand work includes campaigns for Target, Visa, AT&T, MTV, Sprint, and Coca-Cola.
Allyson Nevil joins +MODE after a storied producing career in branding, design and VFX across Troika, Method Studios, MPC, Warner Bros and Rhythm & Hues. Clients include SOFI, LA Super Bowl, Acura, Cars.com, Travelers, Emerald Nuts, Capital One, Pepsi, Levis, Toyota, and many more. Before starting in advertising, she supervised post-production for multiple Bruckheimer/Warner Bros productions.

Lau and Nevil will build +MODE by MOCEAN and the corresponding team out of the Los Angeles headquarters.
