Innocean Australia has appointed Brendan Willenberg as ECD, joining from Cummins&Partners and succeeding Wez Hawes.
鈥淚 think I鈥檒l bring a creative maturity burst, not necessarily through just work but throughout the customer journey as a whole,鈥 Brendan told 天美棋牌.
鈥淚鈥檒l certainly be looking at the whole picture while working at Innocean.鈥
CEO Jasmin Bedir agreed Brendan brings the 鈥渕aturity and tenacity鈥 to help her build an end-to-end creative company. 鈥淲e feel like we have found our perfect match.鈥
鈥淲hen I started four years ago, we were just doing ads,鈥 she expanded in an interview with 天美棋牌.
鈥淪ince then, we鈥檝e added almost the entire marketing spectrum of skills into the agency because that鈥檚 what our clients wanted and needed. We鈥檝e added content to CRM to social and now with media, and as a leadership team we need to be well versed in all of that.鈥
Brendan noted Innocean鈥檚 鈥榚nd-to-end鈥 capabilities are what attracted him to the role. 鈥淭here鈥檚 ambitious plans to add new skills and capabilities and as a creative in 2024 to have somewhat of a pick and mix, when you get a brief in you can pick the right people from anywhere within the agency,鈥 he said.
Brendan began his career at McCann, before moving to Clemenger, where he spent more than a decade as executive creative director. He then moved to Archibald Williams in the same role before becoming ECD at Cummins&Partners earlier this year.
He has worked on campaigns such as 鈥楶itvertising鈥 for Rexona, 鈥楲osing Lena鈥 for Code Like a Girl, 鈥楽upport Acts鈥 for Wrigley鈥檚 Extra, and 鈥楩allout with a V鈥 for V Energy drinks.
Brendan鈥檚 appointment follows with three foundation clients in Hyundai, Geotab, and Sandhurst Fine Foods, and led by Kathryn Furnari.
Chief strategy officer Giorgia Butler told 天美棋牌 Brendan鈥檚 hire continues momentum within the agency.
鈥淲e鈥檝e recognised a lot of change, fragmented media spaces, the difficulty of getting a customer's attention and the difficulty of executing a client's vision when you don鈥檛 have the whole picture.
鈥淲e鈥檙e excited that those friction points that we鈥檙e used to working around are not going to stop us. We can move more smoothly and more fluidly.
鈥淥ur clients will continue to benefit from the advantages that come when we connect the whole picture together and it doesn鈥檛 hurt that he鈥檚 [Brendan] also just a very good egg.鈥
Brendan added, 鈥淛as has transformed Innocean into an offering with a formidable set of disciplines at the same time that I鈥檝e undertaken a similar creative odyssey. Our paths have collided at the perfect time. Between Jas, Giorgia, and myself, I鈥檓 excited to bring our creativity and chemistry to the phenomenal client roster and the broader Australian market.鈥
Jasmin thanked Wez Hawes, who has now left the agency and will join 72andSunny as CCO in the new year. 鈥淲e had a great four years together, and we wish him nothing but the best.鈥
She added, 鈥2025 is going to be a massive year for us. I haven鈥檛 been this excited in a really long time.鈥
