, , and , Toronto’s popular new video game, have teamed up to remind gamers about reducing food waste - despite the disappointment of a few hungry raccoons!

Launching on Zero Food Waste Day (April 24), Goodfood meal-kits will be featured in the raccoon simulator, a game where players wreak havoc as scrap-scouring raccoons on garbage night in Toronto. Players finding scrapless Goodfood boxes can earn bonus points and even WIN real meal-kits (up to $250 OFF) as their reward for reducing food waste both online and offline. The LTO is available on until late May.

The timely partnership sheds light on Goodfood’s commitment to produce meal-kits with zero food waste (thanks to its pre-portioned ingredients), which has been a point of contention for the brand’s mascot Richard the Raccoon. To further its awareness efforts, Goodfood will also sell stuffies online, directing a portion of sales to Second Harvest, Canada's largest food rescue organisation.
