Electric Theatre Collective LA bolsters its creative fire power with the hiring of Martin Karlsson as head of 2D.
Martin joins from The Mill, where he spent the last eight years working in both Los Angeles and London. During his time there Martin worked with acclaimed directors such as Alma Har鈥檈l, Fredrik Bond, Saam Farahmand, Warren Fu, and built up an impressive body of work that includes projects for Nike, Lexus, A Tribe Called Quest, Titanfall and the feature film 鈥楬oney Boy鈥, which premiered at Sundance in January 2019, and has since been picked up by Amazon. As a lead VFX artist he has created visually stunning work such as Coca-Cola鈥檚 鈥楾he Wonder of Us鈥, Game of War 鈥楿nite the World鈥 and Marvel鈥檚 鈥楽trike Force鈥 to name but a few.
Commenting on his appointment, Martin said: 鈥淲hat really resonates with this new opportunity is the culture that I鈥檓 entering. I have closely tracked Electric's progression from the get go and admired the company鈥檚 ambition of striving for artistic excellence with a huge portion of personality.
