It鈥檚 January, which means a lot of things - resolutions, big games, and鈥 tax season.
So now, the long-awaited sequel to last year鈥檚 TaxAct campaign is here. That鈥檚 right - Fallon and TaxAct are back with the latest iteration of the 'Let鈥檚 Get Them Over With' campaign, featuring a second year of Adam Scott. Wait鈥 what sequel were you thinking of? Don鈥檛 worry, this campaign won鈥檛 sever any expectations.
This year, the campaign is all about TaxAct's live expert help offering, Xpert Assist, which includes a team of real tax experts who can provide personalised advice.
The campaign includes video and audio assets that will run nationwide across TV, Streaming, Audio, and Social and will roll out in full over the coming weeks. Both creative and media were led by Fallon.
Fallon and TaxAct are united by America's shared opinion that filing taxes isn鈥檛 anyone鈥檚 favourite pastime. That鈥檚 why TaxAct is here to remind you that while it鈥檚 not the most fun time of the year, TaxAct's easy-to-use software can make it as quick and painless as possible. The campaign strikes a balance between transparency and familiarity, all without taking itself too seriously. Getting your taxes over with should feel like a sigh of relief, not just another chore.
"We鈥檙e excited to continue working with Fallon to highlight the shared truth that no one likes taxes," says Mike Wolfe, vice president of brand marketing for TaxAct. 鈥淲e are evolving our product and expanding our live expert help offerings to continue to better help tax filers get their taxes done, so they can focus on other things.鈥
Justin Miller, creative director at Fallon, shares, 鈥淢ost people agree that filing taxes is a hassle. So instead of trying to distract from the annual dread, we owned it. And to break through in an already cluttered category, we have a hilariously relatable voice-over that perfectly embodies our frank messaging alongside a simple but ownable visual approach.鈥
